Job Description

Job Summary

This role will lead the overall quality function, ensuring that products meet international standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role demands a strong leader who can design and execute quality strategies, build high-performing teams, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement the company’s quality strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and build capability within the QA/QC team of inspectors, supervisors, and engineers.
  • Represent the quality function in strategic discussions, cross-functional reviews, and external audits.

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO, AQL, REACH, and ASTM.
  • Oversee implementation and continuous refinement of Quality Assurance systems.
  • Monitor incoming material inspections, in-process controls, and final product quality.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, quality manuals, and system documentation.

Quality Control (QC)

  • Supervise QC operations across raw material inspection, in-process control, and finished goods approval.
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate with production teams for sample reviews and bulk approvals.
  • Ensure day-to-day QC practices are consistent, reliable, and timely.

Vendor & Factory Management

  • Audit and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality performance.
  • Establish and enforce quality systems at partner factories and outsourced facilities.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with brand requirements, safety standards, and legal regulations.

Customer & Compliance

  • Serve as the key liaison with buyers/clients regarding quality expectations and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in third-party audits and client visits.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Track and present key quality KPIs, inspection outcomes, and non-conformance reports.
  • Apply quality improvement methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma, and 8D.
  • Provide monthly reports on quality performance trends, highlighting risks and improvement plans.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 13–16 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, with leadership responsibilities.
  • Expertise in footwear materials, construction methods, and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001, and international quality standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with quality tools (SPC, Six Sigma, 8D) is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of sustainability and compliance standards.
