Overview:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced leader to join the global PMO and stand-up of the project management service line at the India Digital Capability Center. Global PMO service offerings will include project management, project controls and audit, coordination, and Planview tooling administration. In addition to building and leading the PMO service line, this role will also be responsible for project managing critical/complex digital projects.
What You Will Do:
- Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
- Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
- Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
- Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
- Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
- Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style
- Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
- Prioritize and coordinate PMO resources across the IDCC portfolio
- Identify/develop key talent and raise the delivery standards of PMO services.
- Be a champion of change and support the PMO’s transformation to adopt a common framework globally
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates at the portfolio and program level on key milestones and impact on mission-critical objectives
- Ensure project delivery is following processes established by the PMO
- Utilize the RTX operating system (CORE) to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of experience.
- 10+ years of project management experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 10+ years of Project Management experience
- 1+ years of People Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills
- Work experience achieving results with complex projects
