Job Overview

Express Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager – Legal to lead and manage legal functions across our mall, residential, and hospitality divisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in real estate law, commercial contracts, retail leasing (Leave and Licence), and corporate advisory.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide legal advice on contracts, real estate, leasing, and hospitality-related matters.

· Draft, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements, lease deeds, vendor contracts, and MoUs.

· Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including labor, data protection, and environmental laws.

· Act as the company’s Data Protection Officer and manage regulatory filings and statutory licenses.

· Collaborate with external legal counsel for litigation and complex legal matters.

· Lead and mentor the legal team; review performance and set team goals.

· Conduct legal training sessions for internal departments (e.g., POSH, compliance, contract terms).

· Maintain records of all contracts, legal cases, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – Required

· Master’s degree in Law (LLM) – Preferred

· 10–15 years of legal experience in corporate/in-house roles

· Strong exposure to real estate, mall management, hospitality, or retail leasing (Leave & Licence)

Skills Required

· Excellent knowledge of Indian contract and corporate law

· Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills

· Proficient in English and Tamil (Hindi is an advantage)

· Leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills

· Experience in litigation handling, compliance, and regulatory interactions
