Senior Manager

Role Overview Looking for a Senior Developer/SME having 10+ years of experience proficient on the backend side who will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities. Strong with Python and having advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory. The candidate should have good exposure to System Design, Design Patterns and Best Design practices. Must have experience in building models/App (Actuarial Model and Financial Models). The role will involve activities including design, build and configuration of applications, refactoring to meet business process and application requirements. The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions and drive architecture and software improvement opportunities and take it to completion. Must have experience in leading/managing a team, act as an advisor to the project team. Good to have understanding and knowledge of Tensor libraries like PyTorch. Good to have exposure on Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure. Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities & Skillsets Common Skillsets: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision. Good communication skill for client interaction Application development Skillsets: Exposure to Python oriented data analytical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas. Advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory. Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python application with good understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multi-threaded programming. Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life cycle. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s/master’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
