We're looking for a Senior Manager, Engineering This role is Office Based, Hyderabad Office As a Manager or Senior Manager you will lead and grow a high-performing engineering team within a product-driven environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and support of scalable, robust, and high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Ruby on Rails (RoR), React, AWS, and API design, with a proven ability to inspire and manage engineers to deliver exceptional results. In this role you will.. Team Leadership And Development Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Technical Oversight Drive the architecture and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Ruby on Rails, React, AWS, and RESTful APIs. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability. Product Delivery Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and technical requirements. Oversee sprint planning, resource allocation, and project execution to meet deadlines and deliverables. Operational Excellence Implement best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management to ensure high system availability and performance. Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Stakeholder Engagement Act as a liaison between the engineering team and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions. Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders. Technical Expertise You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have… Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Leadership Experience Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a product company environment. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their highest potential. Product Mindset Deep understanding of the product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and iteration. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions. Operational Skills Strong background in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and resource management. Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation. GenAI Experience Exposure to Generative AI tools and technologies, such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral, Meta Llama, and Hugging Face Transformers. Experience using GenAI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Codeium, Amazon CodeWhisperer) to improve developer productivity. Successfully leveraged GenAI for code generation, automated testing, bug fixes, and software documentation. Integrated AI-based assistants into daily workflows to enhance efficiency in task management, knowledge retrieval, and decision-making. Implemented GenAI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, and recommendation engines to optimize internal processes and customer experiences. Advocated for the responsible use of GenAI to ensure secure, ethical, and compliant AI-driven solutions.
