Senior Manager (Electromechanical)

Purpose/Objective

Lead and manage all electromechanical (E&M) engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities for a large-scale Pumped Storage Hydropower Project. Ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor E&M project execution in alignment with schedule and budget. - Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure seamless execution of E&M works. - Review technical designs documents, technical specifications, and vendor drawings for turbines, generators, transformers, switchgear, control systems, and balance-of-plant equipment. - Manage procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor performance for major E&M packages. - Oversee site erection, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee tests. - Ensure compliance with project technical requirements, industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO), and contractual obligations. - Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. - Coordinate with civil, hydro-mechanical, and transmission teams for integrated project delivery. - Engage with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders on E&M matters. - Lead, mentor, and develop project engineering teams. - Foster a culture of technical excellence, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. - Evaluate and approve equipment selection, manufacturing quality plans, and factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures. - Oversee change orders, claims, and contractual correspondence related to E&M scope

Qualifications and Experience

- B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. - 15+ years of experience in E&M, preference from the Hydro/PSP industry.
