Senior Manager Data Privacy

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Manager/AVP with 8–12 years of professional experience, including a strong background in data privacy, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and data governance. This role will support the DPO in ensuring the organization's data processing activities are compliant with applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA). Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities: Assist the DPO in ensuring ongoing compliance with data protection laws across the organization. Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs). Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy policies and procedures. Provide subject-matter expertise to business units on privacy and data protection issues. Monitor and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs). Coordinate with IT, legal, HR, and other departments on data security and privacy initiatives including contracts. Maintain the data processing activities register (Article 30 under GDPR). Participate in audits and regulatory reporting related to data protection. Support training and awareness programs for employees on privacy best practices. Stay up to date with evolving data protection regulations and advise stakeholders accordingly. Qualification and Experience 8–12 years of overall professional experience, with 5+ years in a data privacy role. Professional certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM. Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA. Experience working with privacy management platforms is a plus. Solid understanding of information security principles and how they intersect with data privacy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree or legal background is a plus. Show more Show less
