We are seeking a Senior Lab Technician / QC Technician with extensive hands-on experience in lubricant formulation, testing, and quality assurance to join our technical team.

Role Overview

The Senior Lab Technician will be responsible for overseeing the setup, organization, and operation of the quality control and R&D laboratory at our upcoming lubricant manufacturing facility. This role is crucial during our plant establishment phase, requiring both hands-on technical expertise and proactive involvement in supporting company officials with all lab-related setup and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

1.⁠ ⁠Laboratory Testing & Analysis

•⁠ ⁠Conduct routine and non-routine testing of finished lubricants, base oils, additives, and grease.

•⁠ ⁠Perform tests using laboratory instruments.

•⁠ ⁠Evaluate raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to ensure compliance with government and company specifications.

•⁠ ⁠Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.

•⁠ Assist company officials in setting up factory laboratory.

2.⁠ ⁠Quality Control & Assurance

•⁠ ⁠Implement and maintain QC procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with international standards.

•⁠ ⁠Record, interpret, and report analytical results accurately in laboratory documentation and quality systems.

•⁠ ⁠Identify non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with the production team to monitor batch blending operations, providing technical support to resolve product quality issues.

3.⁠ ⁠Product Development & Technical Support

•⁠ ⁠Support and R&D in developing and improving lubricant products.

•⁠ ⁠Participate in field complaint investigations and assist in product performance evaluations.

•⁠ ⁠Assist in preparing technical data sheets (TDS) and certificate of analysis (COA) documents.

4.⁠ ⁠Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

•⁠ ⁠Ensure laboratory operations are conducted following government standards.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

•⁠ ⁠Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance data reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

1.⁠ ⁠Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.

2.⁠ ⁠Experience: Minimum of 6 years of proven experience working in a lubricant manufacturing or petroleum testing laboratory.

3.⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of government test methods applicable to lubricants and greases.

4.⁠ ⁠Experience in quality control, laboratory analysis, and production support in the lubricant industry is essential.

5.⁠ ⁠Technical Skills:

•⁠ ⁠Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments.

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with lubricant blending processes and additive chemistry.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to interpret analytical data and troubleshoot quality issues.

•⁠ ⁠Good understanding of quality management systems.

6.⁠ ⁠Soft Skills:
