Position Overview

Senior Java Backend Developer

FinTech or Banking domain

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance Microservices-based architectures ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Work with Hibernate/JPA for efficient database persistence and data modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture) to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement robust fixes.
• Implement coding standards, best practices, and ensure high code quality.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and provide technical leadership to junior team members.
• Integrate backend services with third-party systems commonly used in FinTech / Banking.
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with industry standards (PCI-DSS, authentication flows, encryption, etc. where applicable).
  

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (Java 8+).
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud.
• Solid experience in Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate / JPA.
• Experience with Java backend development in enterprise-level applications.
• Good understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills, debugging, and performance tuning.
  

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with prior experience in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Lending, or BFSI domains.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
