Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Sr IT System Administrator

to join our growing IT team. This role will provide advanced technical support across the organization, lead IT support projects, and mentor junior support staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure, end-user support, and IT systems administration, with a proactive attitude and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices, and applications.
  • Lead incident and problem management, ensuring root causes are addressed and documented.
  • Administer and support Windows/Mac OS environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and Exchange.
  • RHCSA certification is a must.
  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Ensure IT security best practices are followed, including endpoint protection, patching, and user access controls.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior IT support staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation or provide after-hours support, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT support roles, including at least 2 years in a senior or escalation-level position.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows and macOS environments
    • Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams
    • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
    • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, switches)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, Zendesk).
