We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior IT Specialist to lead and oversee our
organizations IT infrastructure. As the Head of the IT Department, you will be
responsible for driving technological innovation, ensuring the stability, security, and
scalability of systems, and aligning IT operations with overall business objectives. This role
requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to manage a high-
performing IT team while guiding the organizations technology roadmap.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Masters degree or relevant certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISM,
- Microsoft 365 Certified, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, SIEM/Endpoint
- Security certifications).
Experience
- Minimum 2.5+ years of progressive IT network support/administration experience, with at least 1+ years in IT leadership or IT management roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing IT infrastructure, networking, VPNs, antivirus, endpoint management, and SIEM.
- Proven success in Microsoft 365 administration and technology project delivery.
- Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA) Preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in network administration (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi AP, firewalls, routing,switching, DS/IPS, load balancing).
- Proficiency in VPN management and secure remote access.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise antivirus and endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint). Knowledge on SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, etc.).
- Advanced administration of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Security & Compliance).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and industry best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms preferred.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards: ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks

Client Collaboration & Coordination Skills
- Act as the primary IT point of contact for customers, ensuring timely issue resolution and communication.
- Collaborate with clients to address recurring IT concerns and provide long-term solutions.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, service levels, and pending issues.
- Track and close client-reported issues through ITSM tools.
- Provide proactive updates and reports on security posture and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure IT services align with client needs and SLAs.
- Maintain professionalism and high customer satisfaction.
- Collect feedback to continuously improve IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead IT projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Drive digital transformation and innovation through evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies.
2. Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, VPNs,
- and cloud infrastructure.
- Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, SharePoint,
- Teams, OneDrive, Intune).
- Ensure robust, scalable, and reliable IT systems to support business needs.
- Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements.
3. Networking & Security Management
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and load balancers.
- Oversee VPN setup and secure remote access solutions.
- Deploy and manage enterprise antivirus platforms and endpoint management tools
- (Intune, SCCM, CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint).
- Implement and manage SIEM solutions for proactive monitoring, threat detection,
- and incident response.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, endpoint, and security issues.
4. Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Establish and enforce IT security policies and protocols to safeguard organizational assets.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, patch management, and endpoint security audits. Oversee endpoint lifecycle management (deployment, patching, decommissioning).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and HIPAA frameworks.
- Maintain IT security documentation aligned with audit and regulatory requirements.
5. IT Support & Service Management
- Supervise IT support operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Act as an escalation point for complex Microsoft 365, VPN, endpoint, and networking issues.
- Manage IT service requests, ensuring SLA adherence.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure IT solutions meet requirements.
7. Budgeting & Resource Allocation
- Manage IT budgets and optimize costs effectively.
- Plan and allocate resources for current operations and future initiatives.
- Oversee IT procurement processes.
8. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery and continuity plans.
- Ensure endpoint backup and restore processes are operational.
- Minimize downtime and ensure business resiliency during emergencies.
9. Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to strengthen IT capabilities.
- Implement automation, SIEM enhancements, and advanced security analytics.
- Drive system upgrades and process optimizations.
10. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and security operations.
- Generate regular compliance, antivirus, SIEM, and IT security reports.
- Ensure documentation readiness for audits.
11. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff to build a motivated and high-performing team.
- Allocate tasks, review performance, and foster continuous professional development.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business IT needs.
