Role Overview

Senior HR Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy & Policy Development

    Develop and implement HR policies and standards that promote accountability, professionalism, and consistent behavior across the organization.
  • Talent Management & Succession Planning

    Build a talent pipeline to reduce over-dependence on individual employees.Implement succession planning frameworks to ensure business continuity and reduce disruptions caused by attrition.Standardize onboarding and training systems to reduce time-to-productivity for new hires.
  • Performance Management & Accountability

    Introduce and enforce KRA/KPI-based performance appraisal systems.Align salary increases and bonuses with measurable performance outcomes.Establish fair, transparent mechanisms for employee assessments, ranking, and promotions.
  • Workforce Discipline & Conduct

    Implement a code of conduct and disciplinary framework to address unprofessional behavior.Create channels for grievance redressal, behavior monitoring, and progressive discipline.
  • Learning & Development

    Conduct skill gap analyses and design development programs to upskill existing staff and future-proof the workforce.Promote a culture of learning, ownership, and accountability at all levels.
  • Compliance & Industrial Relations

    Ensure compliance with all labor laws and proactively manage factory-level industrial relations.
  • Culture Transformation & Change Management

    Drive a shift from an informal, entitlement-driven culture to a high-performance, meritocratic environment.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 810 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role in a

    manufacturing or industrial environment

    .
  • Proven experience in setting up HR functions and culture change in legacy or family-run businesses.
  • Strong grasp of performance management, employee behavior systems, and succession planning.
  • Deep understanding of Indian labor laws, employee relations, and factory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, especially in environments with minimal prior HR structure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent from a reputed institution.
  • Familiarity with modern HRIS tools and ERP-based workforce systems.
  • Experience in high-volume hiring and structured training programs for plant-level employees.
