Role Overview

Distinct Destinations is seeking a full-time Senior Executive / Team Leader based in Gurugram. As a Senior Executive/Team Leader in Travel Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing various aspects of travel operations. Your responsibilities will encompass itinerary preparation, costing, voucher preparation, and collaborative work with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless flow of operations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Query Handling and Itinerary Preparation:

·        Manage client queries, prepare detailed and customized itineraries, and provide accurate costing to convert maximum inquiries into profitable business.

·        Ensure all travel requirements and arrangements meet client needs, covering hotels, flights, trains, guides, and transportation.

2. Sales and Follow-Up:

·        Follow up on the status of queries and maintain records of any amendments or cancellations.

3. Documentation and Financial Coordination:

·        Prepare and issue vouchers, invoices, and travel document kits.

·        Coordinate with the finance department to process advance payments to suppliers who are not on credit.

4. On-Ground Client Support and Feedback Management:

·        Monitor client movement on the ground, reconfirm services proactively, address any queries, and review feedback for continuous improvement.

5. Client Engagement and Relationship Building:

·        Meet and greet clients as required to ensure excellent service and satisfaction.

6. Vendor Negotiation and Relationship Management:

·        Negotiate with hotels and transport vendors to secure the best possible rates.

·        Ensure familiarity with a range of travel destinations to design appealing itineraries and build strong vendor relationships.


Eligibility:

  • Individuals with a background in the travel and tourism industry are highly encouraged to apply.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or relevant fields
  • Minimum of 2 to 6 years of proven experience in the travel industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of various travel destinations.
  • Proven ability to create detailed and customized travel itineraries based on client preferences and requirements.
  • Incorporate a variety of travel elements, including transportation, accommodations, activities, and meals, to deliver comprehensive and memorable travel experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to influence and negotiate with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make informed decisions
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure, while ensuring high-quality work output
  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred
