Senior Engineer - QA/QC

Experience - 5 to 7 years experience

Location - Pune

Preferably from Real Estate Only - Residential projects high rise building

Key Responsibilities:

1.         To work independently & impartially under the board of Directors.

2.         To get acquainted with Civil engineering, practices, construction & supervision of Civil works as per various circulars & checklists. To be cost cautious while maintaining quality of work.

3.         To confirm the specifications, validity of drawings & instructions for individual sites.

4.         To check every corner & aspects, at site, for various activities for line, level, plumbing, right angles proper jointing, specifications, proportion of different mortars & mix etc.

5.         To confirm about i) curing, ii) Housekeeping during his visits to the site.

6.         To give continuous feedback to the Zonal Manager & Project Manager for the observations made at site.

7.         To note down his observations & report to the management. To see that minor discrepancies, defects, incomplete work, missed through oversight, are pointed out to the concerned site engineer/ Project Manager on the same day and see that necessary action is being taken at site.

8.         To keep in touch with the Project Managers for any new activity to be started at the sites, such as plinth layout checking, masonry layout checking, plumbing layout checking, RCC slabs, especially for critical reinforcement & elevational features etc.

9.         To confirm from the site staff about the following checks: beam bottom levels, slab centering levels, beam depths, slab depths, staircase flights, lift & other voids etc.

10.      To inspect and verify the quality of all construction materials—such as cement, ready-mix concrete (RMC), etc. prior to their use on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

11.      Before handing over the flat to the CRM team, a thorough inspection must be conducted by the Quality Engineer to ensure all work is completed as per standards and specifications.

12.      Create snag lists and ensure timely rectification before CRM/final handover.

13.      Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).

14.      Ensure use of approved materials and methods as per technical specifications.

15.      Verify manufacturer test certificates (MTC) and conduct site tests where needed.

16.      Conduct internal audits and prepare reports on quality performance.

17.      Generate Daily/Weekly Quality Reports and highlight NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).

18.      Identify workmanship issues and material defects during and after construction.

19.      Work closely with structural consultants and MEP teams to maintain quality coordination.

20.      Educate site supervisors, engineers, and labour on quality best practices.

21.      Conduct toolbox talks or quality awareness sessions.

22.      To prepare a weekly program & inform the same to the seniors.

23.      To abide by all the rules & regulations of the organization.
