Job Title: Senior Engineer/Module lead-Embedded Hardware Experience: 4 to 8 Years Location: Bangalore Qualification: B.E or B.Tech in Electronics or related domain Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute complete electronic board design and testing activities. Design schematics and review digital electronics interfaces such as I2C, SPI, eMMC, PCIe, LVDS, LVTTL, CMOS, and LVPECL. Develop systems using FPGA, microcontrollers, or microprocessors. Perform power estimation, power tree design, reset logic and sequencing. Select electronic components and perform placement, netlist, and schematic reviews. Conduct timing analysis and ensure signal/power integrity (basic SI & PI/PDN). Generate design documentation and apply PCB routing guidelines. Design and validate low voltage DC-DC power supplies (>5A), LDOs, and perform heat sink and power dissipation calculations. Implement and test analog circuits such as Op-amp configurations, temperature and voltage monitoring, current sensing, ADC/DAC interfaces. Perform EMI/EMC design and validation. Lead board bring-up and testing using instruments such as DSO/MSO, CRO, multimeter, JTAG, etc. Validate power supplies, clock signals, reset and power sequencing. Job Summary Mistral is seeking a Functional Safety (FuSa) Process Assessment Engineer to support the evaluation, compliance, and continuous improvement of automotive safety processes in alignment with ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards. The role involves assessing development processes across Systems, Hardware, and Software domains while ensuring adherence to quality management practices. Key Responsibilities Perform automotive development and FuSa process assessments as per ASPICE & ISO 26262 . Manage compliance with standard QM practices ( ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc. ). Assist Project Managers in maintaining project process requirements as per Mistrals QMS and ASPICE . Develop and prepare QA plans for in-process and final testing, and coordinate reviews/approvals with authorities or customers. Review work products ( SWE1SWE6, HWE1HWE6, SYS1SYS6 ) for compliance. Drive FMEA, FMEDA, FTA , and risk management activities. Conduct gap analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Support internal/external audits , process compliance reviews, and assessments. Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Software teams to ensure process alignment. Prepare compliance documentation and assessment reports . Maintain assessment templates, checklists, and process documentation . Train and guide teams on FuSa process requirements and best practices . Qualifications Bachelors/Masters in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related field . 5 to 8 years of experience in FuSa process assessment and Quality Management. Ideal Key Technical Skillset Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (QMS), ASPICE, and ISO 26262 (FuSa) Standards . Experience in process assessment and quality assurance for both hardware and software development in automotive or non-automotive industries. Familiarity with Systems, Hardware, and Software safety development life cycles . Experience in Automotive HW & SW Verification processes on automotive test benches. Hands-on experience in FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, Safety Case preparation, and Safety Audits . Experience in FuSa assessment on multi-core microcontrollers and SOCs (TI, NXP, Infineon, Renesas) and various safety-critical automotive applications . Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills . Preferred Skills Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) or equivalent certification. Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity Process Assessment is an added advantage.
