Senior Piping Designer Gradiant India Private Limited Chennai, India 5/19/25 Engineering Gradiant is a global solutions provider for advanced water and wastewater treatment We are a different kind of water company With a full suite of differentiated and proprietary end-to-end solutions, powered by the top minds in water, the company serves its clients' mission-critical operations in the world's essential industries Gradiants innovative solutions reduce water used and wastewater discharged, reclaim valuable resources, and renew wastewater into freshwater The Boston-headquartered company was founded at MIT and has over 1,000 employees worldwide Singapore is our Regional Headquarters and home to our Global Innovation Center Learn more at gradiant com Responsibilities Must be capable of providing conceptual as well as detailed design drawings of water treatment plant piping Requires experience with specification of piping, piping components valves, instruments, vessels, and other mechanical equipment Creating Piping Routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D with respect to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and optimizing the Skids & Plant piping Develop 3D Models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with all other discipline requirements Preparation of Equipment layout, Skid piping GA, 2D piping layout, Isometrics, MTOs, pipe support drawings, Pipe rack design input, and Civil and vendor drawing reviews Should have experience with piping design standards with ANSI/IS/ASME piping specifications and layouts for water treatment plants Must be familiar with relevant design & ASME, IS, DIN, and BS codes Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types Review and approve 3D model, drawings and documents from 3rd party design companies Good communication skills in the English language with the ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written correspondence are essential Coordination with inter discipline, Vendor and clients Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc- Collaborate with Mechanical design manager to plan and execute projects on time and on budgeted manhours Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments to ensure project objectives are met Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all piping designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices Conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety Requirements BE Mechanical / Diploma in mechanical engineering Minimum 10 yearsexperience in relevant field Piping Knowledge and AutoCAD Plant 3D / Autodesk Navis Manager software Revit knowledge is an advantage Gradiant is an equal opportunity employer Qualified applicants will be considered without regards to race, color, region, creed, gender, identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class Show more Show less
