🚀 Role Overview

The Senior Engineer – Projects (EHV)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee

  EHV project execution

  , including installation, testing, and commissioning of substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.
• Review

  technical drawings, SLDs, protection schemes, and cable layouts

  to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
• Coordinate with

  clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams

  for smooth project progress.
• Ensure adherence to

  project schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality protocols

  .
• Prepare and review

  material submittals, method statements, and work schedules

  .
• Supervise and guide

  site engineers, supervisors, and contractors

  during execution.
• Monitor

  testing & commissioning activities

  of transformers, circuit breakers, CT/PTs, relays, etc.
• Generate

  project reports, progress updates, and documentation

  for management and client review.
• Ensure compliance with

  IEC / IS standards, electrical codes, and utility norms

  .
• Identify risks and propose technical or operational solutions to mitigate them.

⚙️ Technical Expertise Required

• Strong knowledge of

  EHV systems (33kV–400kV or above)

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  installation and commissioning

  of:
• Power & distribution transformers
• Circuit breakers (SF6, vacuum, oil)
• Control & relay panels
• Cable termination & jointing (XLPE, ACSR)
• SCADA and protection systems
• Familiarity with

  project management tools(optional), QA/QC processes

  , and

  safety practices

  .

🧰 Skills & Competencies

• Excellent

  leadership, coordination, and decision-making

  skills.
• Strong understanding of

  electrical drawings, SLDs, and protection schemes

  .
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Proficient in

  MS Office, AutoCAD, and project planning software

  (e.g., MS Project / Primavera).

🎓 Qualifications

• Diploma in

  Electrical Engineering

  (mandatory).
• B.E. / B.Tech in

  Electrical Engineering

  (optional/preffered).
• M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Power Systems (optional/preferred).
• Certification in

  Project Management / Safety

  (optional but advantageous).
