Job Description

About the role

In this role, you will own the electronics lifecycle—from selecting components and drawing schematics to PCB layout and lab validation. You will turn requirements into reality, building the low-noise acquisition systems that power our advanced sensors. You don't need to be a physicist, but you must be an expert in building clean, stable, and reliable electronics.

What You’ll Do Analog Circuit Design

● Design and simulate precision analog circuits for signal conditioning, including low-noise amplifiers, active filters, and sensor interface stages.

● Develop stable power management solutions (LDOs, References) to ensure clean power delivery to sensitive components.

● Perform component selection and error budget analysis to ensure designs meet accuracy and stability goals.

Mixed-Signal Integration & PCB Layout

● Design interfaces for high-resolution ADCs and DACs, ensuring data integrity between the analog front-end and digital processors (MCUs/FPGAs).

● Lead PCB Layout efforts for multi-layer boards, focusing on proper grounding techniques, signal isolation, and minimizing noise coupling.

● Manage the trade-offs between size, performance, and manufacturability for compact embedded systems.

System Integration & Prototyping

● Work with mechanical engineers to fit electronics into enclosures, considering thermal management and cabling.

● Collaborate with firmware teams to bring up new boards, debug communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART), and validate system performance.

● Manage the manufacturing process, generating BOMs and manufacturing files (Gerbers) for fabrication assembly houses.

Testing & Validation

● Define test plans and use lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Function Generators) to validate hardware performance.

● Troubleshoot board-level issues like power sequencing failures, noise issues, or signal distortion.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:

Experience: 4-8 years

Core Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Control Theory applied to circuits (Feedback, Compensation Networks, Stability).
  • Proficiency in EDA tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar) for Schematic and Layout.
  • Experience with Microcontroller/FPGA hardware design (pinout planning, power domains, decoupling).
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment and soldering/rework skills for prototyping.

Preferred Skills (Nice to have)

● Experience with low-level signal processing or sensor interfacing.

● Familiarity with industrial communication standards or rigid-flex PCB design.

● Experience taking a product from prototype to small-batch production.

What We Offer

● Opportunity to work on cutting-edge proprietary technology.

● A collaborative environment where engineering rigor is valued.

● Access to a well-equipped electronics lab.

● Competitive salary and growth opportunities within a fast-paced startup.
