Senior DevOps

As our studio develops AAA action-adventure games inspired by Indian epics, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure and pipelines that empower our development teams and ensure the smooth delivery of our games. Your expertise will directly contribute to streamlining workflows, enhancing efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management:

   Design, build, and manage scalable backend infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments, ensuring high availability and performance. 

  Deep expertise in Linux-based systems is essential for managing server environments.

• Network & Security:

   Configure and maintain network components, including IPv4/6 tunnels and firewalls. Implement and enforce best practices for network security across all environments.

• CI/CD Pipeline Development:

Design, set up, and maintain comprehensive CI/CD pipelines from scratch, using Jenkins infrastructure. This includes configuring jobs and optimizing pipeline efficiency

• Automation & Orchestration:

   Leverage automation tools like Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.

• Database Management:

   Possess a good understanding of database operations, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting, to support game services and development tools.

• System Optimization:

Configure and optimize virtual servers to enhance performance and resource utilization.

• Best Practices & Mentorship:

   Implement and advocate for DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8-10 years of progressive experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles, preferably within a fast-paced technology or gaming environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience with 

  Linux operating systems

   for server administration and troubleshooting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly 

  AWS and GCP

  .
• Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines from scratch using 

  Jenkins

• Strong expertise in Ansible and Terraform

   for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Demonstrable experience in managing backend infrastructure, configuring networks, and maintaining IPv4/6 tunnels and firewalls.
• Good understanding of database concepts and operations.
• Proven ability to configure and optimize virtual servers and cache servers.
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of network security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving infrastructure challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the game development industry, particularly with AAA titles.
• Familiarity with other CI/CD tools, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), or monitoring solutions.
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, Linux administration, or other relevant DevOps technologies.
