As a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, your role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems on GCP. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and managing GCP cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles. - Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for multiple services and environments. - Developing and maintaining Terraform modules for consistent infrastructure deployment. - Building and maintaining containerized workloads using Docker and Cloud Run. - Collaborating with software development teams to ensure smooth and secure application delivery. - Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud environments to enhance performance and stability. - Automating operational tasks with Python scripts and GitLab pipelines. - Ensuring security, compliance, and cost-efficiency across all GCP projects. - Contributing to architectural decisions and promoting DevOps best practices across the organization. To be successful in this role, you will need: - 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles. - Strong hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, Secret Manager, etc. - Proven expertise with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure. - Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD (or similar CI/CD tools). - Good scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash. - Strong knowledge of Docker, Serverless, and Kubernetes ecosystems. - Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and GCP Cloud Monitoring. - Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and Linux system administration. - Strong communication skills to help drive acceptance and implementation of modern DevOps principles. Nice to have skills and experiences include: - Experience integrating security scanning tools into pipelines. - Experience implementing Infrastructure Testing (Terratest, OPA). - Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Firebase. - Certification in GCP. - Experience in NodeJS and Typescript, ideally with web-based frameworks such as NestJS and Express.
