Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will drive automation, streamline CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. Youll collaborate closely with development, QA, and IT teams to bridge gaps between operations and developmentdelivering faster, more reliable deployments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Manage and automate cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.). Ensure high availability and reliability of production environments by implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.). Automate configuration management and system provisioning using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack. Implement containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS. Drive adoption of DevOps best practices across the engineering organization. Optimize performance and cost of cloud resources. Conduct security reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.). Manage version control workflows using Git and branching strategies. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with development and support teams. Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across teams. Qualifications Bachelors Degree (or higher) with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Overall, 6 + Years of IT experience and 2+ years experience in Shell / Perl scripting Experience in DevOps, CI/CD implementation. Experience in containerization platforms (one of them) - RedHat OpenShift/ Kubernetes/ AWS EKS Experience with Deployment Automation & Orchestration platform (Jenkins). Experience with collaborative version control systems (Git/ GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket). Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet. Experience with cloud computing and container solutions such as Amazon EC2, Docker. Experience with scripting languages (Groovy, Python, Jenkins DSL) to develop automation tools. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare. Experience with managing code repositories and best practices as it relates to DevOps. Knowledge of basic Java constructs in both web and thick client applications. Familiarity with Enterprise Oracle DB deployments. (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
