About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and design-savvy Design Manager who can combine creative expertise with business acumen. This role involves managing client interactions, understanding design requirements, preparing proposals, and driving projects from initial inquiry to closure. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to convert client discussions into confirmed design and turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Client Interaction & Lead Conversion

  • Act as the first point of contact for potential clients and build trust through design understanding and consultative selling.
  • Conduct detailed client requirement discussions, understand project scope, and translate needs into design briefs.
  • Present design proposals, mood boards, and concepts to clients confidently and persuasively.
  • Follow up with clients strategically to convert leads into confirmed projects.
  • Maintain high conversion ratios through relationship-building and prompt follow-ups.

2. Proposal & Commercial Management

  • Prepare detailed design proposals, scope documents, and commercial quotations in coordination with senior management.
  • Ensure proposals are aligned with client budgets, timelines, and expectations.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals profitably while maintaining design integrity and company margins.
  • Collaborate with project and design execution teams for handover post-closure.

3. Design Coordination (Pre-Sales Phase)

  • Coordinate with in-house designers and visualisers to prepare presentation drawings, mood boards, and design concepts for client meetings.
  • Ensure all presentations reflect the company’s brand aesthetics and design quality.
  • Guide the creative direction to match client expectations and increase conversion potential.

4. Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle escalations, feedback, and design clarifications proactively.
  • Build and nurture a network of influencers, architects, and consultants for business development.

5. Business Reporting & Performance

  • Maintain a structured pipeline of leads, proposals, and closures in CRM or sales tracking systems.
  • Report weekly on lead status, meetings, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
  • Identify patterns in client behavior and provide insights to management on improving proposal strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
