Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the design and development of pipeline inspection tools and mechanical components. The role involves concept design, 3D modeling, drafting, and close coordination with the production and QC teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for pipeline inspection tools.
• Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using Creo or SolidWorks.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure design feasibility for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with workshop, QC, and electronics teams during tool development.
• Prepare BOMs, technical drawings, and documentation.
• Suggest design improvements for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Support R&D and prototype testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–10 years of experience in mechanical design (oil and gas or tool design preferred).
• Proficiency in Creo (preferred) or similar 3D design software.
• Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of material selection, sealing mechanisms, and tolerances.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Added Advantage:

• Experience in pipeline pig or inspection tool design.
• Exposure to FEA or design validation methods.
