We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer to lead the design, integration, installation, and commissioning of robotic arm-based facade cleaning solutions. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on robotics experience, and a rigorous approach to safety and compliance, especially with respect to personal fall protection and steel structure standards (BS 7883:2019, IS 800:2007). Key Responsibilities System Design & Integration Lead the engineering design, development, and integration of robotic arms on BMU cradles for facade cleaning. Ensure all anchor systems, structural supports, and safety devices comply with BS 7883:2019 (Personal Fall Protection Equipment – Anchor Systems) and IS 800:2007 (General Construction in Steel). Prepare and review detailed CAD models, blueprints, and technical documentation for both robotics and structural components. Select and specify suitable hardware, including gearboxes, motors, bearings, and pneumatic/hydraulic components; prepare and manage Bill of Materials (BOM). Project Management Coordinate all project phases: engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final handover. Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for project and site safety. Compliance & Safety Oversee the design and installation of anchor and fall protection systems per BS 7883:2019, including system design, installation, inspection, and documentation. Ensure all steel structures and connections meet IS 800:2007 requirements for fabrication, erection, and inspection. Prepare and maintain technical files, inspection reports, and certification documentation for all safety-critical systems. Installation & Commissioning Supervise the installation and commissioning of robotic and access systems, including on-site testing and verification. Conduct proof load and trial tests for anchor systems and structural supports as per relevant standards. Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Identify opportunities for process and product improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues. Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to management and clients. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Production, or Structural Engineering. 3–8 years’ experience in robotics, automation, facade access systems, or related fields. Proven experience in system integration, project engineering, and customer-facing technical roles. Proficiency with CAD/3D modeling software and simulation tools. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols. Familiarity with BS 7883:2019 (anchor systems, fall protection) and IS 800:2007 (steel construction). Experience with robotic programming (Python, C++, ROS, or similar) and motion control systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The role demands good technical knowledge of electrical panels, safety devices, hoisting systems, and control assemblies to ensure equipment reliability, compliance with safety standards, and uninterrupted building faade operations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance of faade access equipment, BMU cradles, winches/hoists, and associated control systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in: Contactors, transformers, ELCB/MCB/RCCB, phase preventors, relays, push buttons, selector switches, NO/NC elements, limit switches, indicators, and industrial sockets. PLC and VFD-based control systems. Hoists (winches), reeled drum assemblies, and drive mechanisms. Conduct panel wiring, safety device testing, and recalibration of system components.
