Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or 5 years of experience with a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of large datasets to understand user behavior, app/game discovery patterns, and the impact of features and ads within the Play Store.
• Design, implement, and analyze sophisticated A/B experiments for new Play Store features, UI changes, personalization algorithms, and ad formats/placements.
• Define appropriate metrics, success criteria, and guardrails, considering the trade-offs between user experience, developer success, and advertiser value.
• Provide clear recommendations based on experiment results, including statistical significance and practical implications.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to build models for personalization, recommendations, user segmentation, lifetime value prediction, or auction optimization, as relevant to the team's goals.
