Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMA team. This role will be based in Mumbai (Powai). This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• As a Data Engineer on the Data Service Delivery Team, you will design, implement, and maintain Azure ETL pipelines that support our data warehouse. You will play a key role in enabling our data teams to deliver insights efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support evolving business and analytics needs.
• Implement robust data ingestion frameworks using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL. Ensure reliable extraction, transformation, and load of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Develop monitoring solutions to track data pipeline performance, system reliability, and data quality. Troubleshoot and optimize pipelines to ensure high availability, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with data analysts, data architects, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. Provide technical guidance and ensure data availability, quality, and integrity for reporting and analytics.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability of data systems.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for data models, pipelines, and operational procedures to promote consistency and team knowledge sharing.

What you need to have:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure cloud-based data solutions.
• Cloud Database Expertise: Proven experience in one or more Cloud database environments such as Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, BigQuery.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a strong focus on data quality, performance, and reliability.

• Strong expertise in any of the following Cloud Databases Azure SQL, Snowflake or Google BigQuery
• Proficient in SQL, ADF, SSIS.
• Familiarity with SSAS, Azure Analysis Services
• Familiarity with SQL best practices.
• Database administration knowledge - nice to have
• Databricks basic knowledge - nice to have
• Power BI - nice to have
• Azure and/or Data Engineer certification - nice to have
