Position Summary
The Senior Data Analyst – Market Research will support multiple market research projects in the Evidence Solutions Team. The job responsibilities include understanding the ever-changing and complex healthcare market and helping clients solve issues including distribution, launch pricing and contracting, access improvement, formulary inclusion and product value positioning. The analyst must be forward-thinking, have deep collaboration skills, enjoys a challenge and thrive in the details of conducting/gathering insights within Primary market research.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Supporting client projects, market research project, communicating internally and externally regarding critical issues, new insights and questions to clarify and maintain alignment of work with client need
- Support in defining market research methodologies to achieve client goals
- Serving as the content expert on your projects including day-to-day management of specific aspects of the workstreams within large or small projects.
- Using internal and external sources to conduct independent desk-based research to address key client questions
- Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to aid the development of recommendations or key findings
- Participating in internal brainstorming sessions to develop thinking and recommendations
- Actively contributing to the preparation, execution and follow up of internal and client meetings including preparing presentations or client deliverables.
- Investigate client questions related to operational deliveries, as needed
- Providing guidance on secondary research and project direction, in conjunction with project manager and project lead
- Synthesizing insights and recommendations from primary and secondary research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, Bio Engineering, Economics, Business or related fields or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Ability to create advanced visual outputs related to complex primary market research data and some secondary claims data.
- 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals, Managed Markets Consulting or Analytics Consulting with broad-based experience in primary market research techniques
- 2+ year, minimum, working in collaboration with a global team on project execution
- Strong MS office literacy in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred
- Masters in these disciplines OR MBA/PGDM/Equivalent
- Primary/Secondary Research experience, Consulting, Client facing deliverables/output experience preferred
- Proven interest in the US pharmaceutical industry or healthcare consulting; precursory knowledge of US healthcare system and an ability to critically analyze clinical data.

The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to clearly respond to common questions about datasets from clients and team members. Must possess rapid agility to reply to emails and convert complicated business processes into easily understandable language. Have the ability to communicate across offices and teams across cultures.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and work effectively across the team to accomplish team goals is critical. The successful candidate must possess excellent judgment, task management, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work with team members to convey results, incorporate enhancements and production processes across projects.
