Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Content Strategist to lead the content launch, growth, and optimization strategy for multiple brands within our portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll act as the editorial co-founder for each new brand we onboard.You will be responsible for designing content systems from scratch, identifying what to write, how to write it, who to hire, and how to scale, all while ensuring measurable results across traffic, quality, and monetization.
What You’ll Do
Brand Onboarding & Deep Dives Analyze new partner brands to understand voice, audience, content gaps, and growth potential Create content strategy roadmaps that align with the brand’s goals and editorial voice Content Architecture & Planning Define content categories, topic structures, and keyword/entity focus using SEO tools Build and manage scalable content calendars and editorial pipelines Team Formation & Training Prepare hiring plans for writers and editors Lead recruitment and training; manage workflows until the team is fully operational Share brand stylesheets and reference resources to ensure consistency Performance & Optimization Track content performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and internal tools Identify top-performing categories, underperformers, and optimization opportunities Pivot and evolve strategy based on real-time performance Operations & Quality Control Maintain daily publishing output, quality control systems, and publishing hygiene Oversee first-line editing for key brands until editors are ramped up Cross-functional Communication - Liaise with brand partners regularly to share reports, insights, and editorial wins
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (SEO, Product, Monetization, Tech)
- Process Replication
- Once successful systems are established, replicate and scale the same model across new brands
You’re a Strong Fit If You Have
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or SEO-driven publishing
- A degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field preferred
- Journalism/editorial experience is a must; you’ve written or edited in deadline-driven environments
- Proven ability to build and scale editorial operations from scratch
- Understanding of SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console)
- Excellent editorial judgment and an eye for what makes content click and rank
- Experience working with remote teams of writers/editors and leading through systems
- The ability to juggle multiple brands and priorities without compromising quality
- A strong bias for ownership, speed, and problem-solving
Bonus Points If You
- Have worked in a content-first startup, media network, or content marketing agency
- Are comfortable training junior writers and editors with a blend of feedback and systems
- Have experience building internal content SOPs and editorial guidelines
- Understand entity-based SEO, AI-assisted content systems, and performance benchmarking
