The Role

Professional Services is
provided to our R&D customers for implementing Veeva applications on Veeva’s development cloud platform. We aim to be our customers' trusted partners and ensure they leverage the additional value Veeva applications offer.

Our Professional Services Team comprises of more than 1300+ consultants & senior consultants across the globe. Due to the rapid growth of our client portfolio, we are growing our team every year and opening many career opportunities for our new and existing employees. Veeva is looking for Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance senior consultants to join the Professional Services team and support our Vault Safety solution implementation.

As a Safety Senior Consultant
, you will support a group of biopharmaceutical customers in implementing Veeva Safety on Veeva’s development cloud platform. As a subject matter expert, you would be leading the workshop discussions on configurations with concerned business leads, understand & document business requirements. Solution designing, problem solving and working closely with other leads / consultants on a project assignment would be part of core responsibilities in this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead business workshops to gather and document business functional / non-functional requirements.
  • Think critically to help design the solution your customers request as well as the solution they have not requested but may need.
  • Work closely with configuration team in developing the solution.
  • Act as customer liaison, managing communication between implementation, customer stakeholders, and internal Veeva Product teams.
  • Help customers with data migration activities by providing expert advisory.
  • Guide customers in adopting Vault and industry best practices as part of implementation programs focused on the holistic success of the customer.
  • Drive change management methodology for our customers switching from on-premises to SaaS solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of life sciences industry experience, with the majority time spent in the Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance domain and experience in a consulting function.
  • Knowledge of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance processes and regulations.
  • Must have a decent experience writing complex SQL queries on safety data set.
  • Should have worked on implementing safety systems like Aris / Argus / Emperica / Commonwealth / RxLogix / or any home grown safety system
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and ensure delivery to a high degree of satisfaction.
  • Good to have experience building aggregate and analytical reports on safety data set.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have worked in an individual contributor capacity in the previous employments.
  • Ability to act with speed to understand business requirements, create corresponding solution designs, and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to design and deliver Vault Safety.
  • Exposure to life sciences compliance and computer systems validation requirements.
  • Ability to travel for about ~ 25% of the project time.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Has the right attitude and mindset to work towards customer success.

Nice to Have

  • Proven track record supporting high impact global system implementation programs as a consultant, business, or IT lead, and/or business sponsor.
  • Direct experience with Argus and/or other drug safety applications
  • Exposure to SQL / PLSQL programming language.
  • Life science, computer science, or related degree
  • SaaS/Cloud experience
  • Experience in services delivery management and/or systems implementation
