GC-MS Analyst - Pesticide Residue Analysis)

Job Title: Senior Chemist – Pesticide Testing LCMS/GCMS

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled LC-MS/MS and GC-MS Senior Chemist with experience in pesticide

residue analysis in food matrices. The candidate will be responsible for routine analysis,

instrument operation, and compliance with NABL quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

● Perform pesticide residue analysis using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS

● Handle Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) including receipt, storage, usage,

traceability, and log maintenance as per NABL ISO/IEC 17025 requirements

● Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS instruments,

including routine performance checks and basic preventive maintenance

● Guide and support junior chemists in sample preparation, preparation of calibration

standards, quality control samples, and adherence to SOPs

● Review chromatograms, integration, and result accuracy

● Assist in accurate review and release of analytical reports, ensuring data integrity, result

correctness, and compliance with NABL documentation requirements

● Maintain instrument logs, calibration records, and maintenance records

● Ensure compliance with NABL ISO/IEC 17025 documentation and SOPs

● Participate in method validation, verification, and proficiency testing

● Support audits and respond to technical observations

Qualification & Experience

● MSc Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Food Technology

● 1–3 years experience in pesticide residue analysis in food labs

● Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS/MS

Skills Required

● Strong understanding of residue analysis workflows

● Data interpretation and troubleshooting skills

● Knowledge of EU/APEDA MRLs, FSSAI limits, and NABL ISO/IEC 17025

requirements

● Good documentation practices

Salary

● 3 LPA to 3.60 LPA

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
