Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Senior Chemist for our ethanol manufacturing unit. The role involves quality control, laboratory testing, and process monitoring of Rice & Maize (Makka) raw materials, starch analysis, and ethanol testing to ensure consistent product quality and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform starch analysis of Rice and Maize (Makka) raw materials
• Conduct routine testing of raw materials, slurry, mash, and fermented wash
• Carry out Ethanol testing including strength (% v/v), purity, density, and quality parameters
• Monitor fermentation parameters such as pH, starch conversion, sugar, and alcohol percentage
• Ensure optimum starch-to-sugar and sugar-to-ethanol conversion efficiency
• Maintain laboratory instruments, calibration records, and chemical inventory
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality analysis reports
• Coordinate with Milling, Fermentation, Distillation, Dryer, Boiler, and WTP teams
• Supervise and guide junior chemists and lab technicians
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and quality norms

Education & Qualification:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry (Mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of starch testing and ethanol analysis
• Experience in ethanol/distillery/manufacturing plant preferred

Experience Required:

• 3–6 years experience as Chemist / Senior Chemist
• Hands-on experience in starch, fermentation, and ethanol testing

Required Skills:

• Good understanding of starch, sugar, and ethanol chemistry
• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and testing methods
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to work in shifts if required
• Team leadership and coordination skills

Salary:

₹35,000 – ₹35,000 per month
(Based on experience & skills)
