We bridge traditional finance and Web3 by connecting global carbon registries, exchanges, and financial institutions through our 'Network of Networks' platform. Our technology enables environmental asset transactions across multiple blockchains, pioneering the digital transformation of green real-world assets (RWAs).

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to evolve our core infrastructure as we scale our climate finance platform. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of climate impact, climate finance and cutting-edge technology, building systems that channel capital into green real-world assets and related carbon removal projects worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain smart contracts for token issuance, redemption, distributions, and structured financial instruments.
• Implement on-chain rules that enforce compliance, eligibility, governance, and transfer restrictions.
• Integrate contract logic with off-chain services (settlement, custody, compliance engines, dMRV, APIs).
• Implement event structures and lifecycle hooks to support provenance, auditability, and settlement flows.
• Ensure contracts are secure, upgradeable where required, and aligned with regulatory and operational constraints.
• Collaborate with backend and custodial teams to ensure multi-chain support and interoperability across venues.
• Write comprehensive tests and assist with internal/external audits.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years in professional software development with a strong focus on backend Java engineering in complex, large-scale systems. Strong experience developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts on EVM chains.
• Proficiency in Solidity and familiarity with contract standards, patterns, and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience building token lifecycle logic: mint/burn, distribution flows, role-based restrictions, upgrade paths.
• Ability to design contract modules that support provenance, asset-tracking, compliance checks, and settlement rules.
• Experience integrating on-chain logic with backend systems and custodial services via events, APIs, or messaging.
• Strong understanding of multi-chain environments and interoperability considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal English, able to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and global teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cross-chain messaging, bridges, or atomic-swap frameworks.
• Familiarity with oracles, off-chain proofs, and anchoring mechanisms.
• Knowledge of financial markets, settlement models, and regulated asset workflows.
• Experience with AI-assisted development (contract analysis, audit automation).
• Familiarity with MPC (Multi-Party Computation) concepts or custody workflows.
