Senior Platform Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer at ZERO13, you will play a crucial role in owning and evolving our core infrastructure to scale our climate finance, trading, and settlement platform. You will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of climate impact and cutting-edge technology, contributing to systems that facilitate capital flow into carbon removal projects and green real-world assets globally. Responsibilities: - Own and enhance our core Elixir/Phoenix service by implementing new features and enhancements - Collaborate across platform services in Go, TypeScript, and Java to ensure smooth integration - Architect system integrations between services and design robust REST APIs - Develop and refactor microservices as required across the platform - Contribute to technical design decisions for new services and major refactoring initiatives - Implement comprehensive testing strategies and uphold code quality standards - Document complex systems and architectural decisions Requirements: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience - Strong proficiency in Elixir, OTP, and Phoenix Framework - Proficiency in another backend language such as Java, Go, or TypeScript - Experience working with relational databases, with PostgreSQL preferred - Familiarity with real-time data processing or event-driven architectures - Strong skills in REST API design - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development practices - Excellent written and verbal communication in English - Experience working in remote, distributed teams Nice to Have: - Experience with blockchain protocols and cryptocurrency systems - Experience in managing financial transactions in production systems - Previous experience in fintech or institutional trading systems - Interest in AI with some practical experience - React or frontend development experience Please note that you must have the right to work in Navi Mumbai to be considered for this position.
