Position Summary

An experienced

Back-End Software Development Engineer

is required to build and maintain robust, scalable server-side applications. The role focuses on developing APIs, microservices, and database integrations while working in an agile, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, modern frameworks, and cloud-native deployment practices, with added advantage for AI/ML experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with stakeholders to understand use cases and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy new server-side functionality using Java, Spring Boot, and related tools.
• Implement RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of UI components.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud or on-prem infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain databases using Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Lead the implementation of modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and automated testing.
• Optimize backend architecture to improve reliability, security, and performance.
• Incorporate security best practices such as data encryption and anonymization.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, paired programming, and demos.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in backend and full-stack development.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, React/Angular, SQL/Postgres.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially using tools like Jenkins.
• 2+ years of working with AI/ML, including:
• Building ML models using open-source frameworks
• Using tools like Python, Hadoop, Kafka, BigQuery, Kubernetes
• Experience in building AI/ML platforms and deploying ML solutions at scale.
  

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to the automotive industry or similar domains
• Experience with onshore-offshore delivery models
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and practices
  

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Required)
• Master’s Degree (Preferred)
