Senior Backend Developer (Python)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer (Python) to join our fast-growing tech team at Ideen Tech Pvt. Ltd. You will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling backend systems that power our AI-driven and enterprise applications.

As a senior member, you’ll not only write high-quality code but also mentor junior developers, contribute to architecture decisions, and drive backend best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of scalable backend applications using Python & FastAPI (or Flask/Django).
• Architect, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and data pipelines.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and caching systems for data modeling and performance tuning.
• Integrate and optimize Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) within product workflows.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and high availability.
• Review code, guide peers, and maintain high-quality development standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product owners in Agile cycles.
• Contribute to DevOps workflows – CI/CD, Docker, and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP).
• Document systems, workflows, and key technical decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5–8 years of backend development experience using Python.
• Deep understanding of FastAPI / Flask / Django frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and API integration.
• Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud (AWS/GCP).
• Experience implementing security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to LLM / Generative AI integration and vector databases.
• Experience with system performance monitoring, load testing, and profiling.
• Mentoring experience in cross-functional teams.
