Job Title: Senior AWS Data Engineer Location: Pune, India Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-time ⸻ Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic data engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets, with strong expertise in AWS services and modern data engineering practices. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines on AWS. • Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, clean, and process large-scale data from diverse sources. • Leverage AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, Athena, EMR, and Kinesis for data engineering tasks. • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. • Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are implemented. • Optimize and troubleshoot performance issues in data pipelines and queries. • Build infrastructure as code using Cloud Formation or Terraform (optional but preferred). • Document data flow, architecture, and processes. ⸻ Required Skills: • 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles. • Hands-on expertise with AWS data services: Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, EMR, etc. • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or PySpark. • Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar. • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data processing. • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, Parquet, Avro). • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications: • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, or Big Data Specialty). • Experience in real-time data streaming using Kinesis, Kafka, or MSK. • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
