About The Role
At Majesco, as an Associate Engineer in Cloud Operations, your primary responsibility will be managing release deployments on both customer product and non-production environments hosted in the Azure cloud. This role involves closely collaborating with product and support teams, troubleshooting deployment issues, adopting new products, and operationalizing deployment processes. A strong understanding of Azure services, automation tools, and experience with technologies such as WF 20, Java, Jenkins, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Oracle, MS SQL DB, and automation is required. The role also requires availability during U.S. business hours and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute requests for customer production and non-production environments.
- Responsible for pro-active alert monitoring of cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and support teams to ensure smooth and successful operations.
- Manage deployment pipelines and automation tools to streamline release processes.
- Set up new customer environments in Azure.
- Collaborate with Oracle and MS SQL DB to ensure proper database configurations for deployments.
- Work with database administrators to optimize database performance during and after deployments.
- Address database-related issues and coordinate with the DBA team for resolution.
- Identify and promptly resolve cloud environment issues.
- Work closely with product and support teams to understand and address production challenges.
- Implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
- Stay updated on new services and features relevant to the deployment process.
- Evaluate and adopt new products or tools that enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Operationalize deployment processes to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Develop and maintain documentation procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with the operations team to integrate deployment processes into overall operational workflows.
- Provide 24/7 support as required during U.S. business hours and for weekend activities.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices.
- Offering ongoing support and maintenance for deployed systems, including troubleshooting and updates.
Experience And Skills Required
- 2 to 4 years of experience with AKS, WF 20, Java, Jenkins, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Oracle, MS SQL DB, and automation.
- Experience of monitoring tools like AppManager, Dynatrace, Site24*7 & Instana.
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/BTech).
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and deployment best practices.
- Previous experience in a similar deployment or operations role.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Relevant certifications in deployment technologies or project management can be advantageous.
