Job Description

The Senior AVP – Compliance is responsible for leading strategic compliance initiatives within the Quality Department. This role ensures that all quality-related operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The position involves oversight of quality assurance programs, regulatory audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Leadership:

  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks aligned with ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and customer audits.

Quality Assurance Oversight:

  • Design and execute Quality Assurance (QA) programs in line with compliance and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor and report on quality KPIs, non-conformities, and CAPA effectiveness.
  • Review and update QA programs based on regulatory changes and internal policy updates.

Risk Management & Governance:

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate quality incidents and ensure timely resolution and documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure governance alignment.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead and mentor compliance and QA teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with operation, quality and IT teams.
  • Provide training and awareness programs on compliance and quality standards.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality and compliance functions.
  • Support ESG and IT compliance efforts where applicable.
  • Contribute to digital transformation of compliance monitoring and reporting.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • 10–15 years of experience in quality and compliance roles, preferably in regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and regulatory frameworks.
  • Certifications such as CAMS, CQA, or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools.
