Senior Assistant Vice President

Role And Responsibilities

• Act as the offshore delivery lead for analytics engagements in the Manufacturing and Automotive domain, supporting onshore client teams and EXL leadership.
• Serve as the key offshore point of contact for client stakeholders and internal leadership, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with onshore Engagement Managers and client teams to understand business requirements, define analytical problems, and deliver actionable insights.
• Lead and manage 1–2 analytics engagements with varying team structures and service delivery models, ensuring high-quality output and client satisfaction.
• Drive offshore execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to defined methodologies and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor offshore teams of 3–8 consultants, including Team Leads and Analysts, across all aspects of project execution.
• Contribute to problem definition, solution structuring, and execution planning in collaboration with onshore teams.
• Ensure project documentation, delivery plans, and communication protocols are well established and followed.
• Provide thought leadership and domain expertise in manufacturing and automotive analytics, contributing to solution design and innovation.
• Support business development efforts through proposal creation, solutioning, and client presentations as needed.
• Play an active role in talent development, including hiring, training, and performance management of offshore analytics teams.
• Maintain regular communication with onshore leadership and clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment.
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields.
• 8–12 years of experience in analytics delivery, consulting, and client engagement, preferably in manufacturing and automotive domains.
• Strong experience in marketing, operations, and strategy analytics, with exposure to cost optimization and business transformation initiatives.
• Proven track record in managing offshore teams and delivering analytics/consulting services in a global delivery model.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work in a matrixed environment across geographies.
• Experience with tools and technologies such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and cloud platforms is a plus.
