Senior Accounts Officer

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Male)

Location: Mumbai (Bombay), India

Experience Required: 10–15 years

Industry: Accounting / Finance / Import-Export / Publicly Listed Companies

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian tax compliances, financial reporting, and team management. Experience in working with CA firms, import-export businesses, or publicly listed companies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

Supervise and lead a team of at least 5 junior accountants.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and MIS reports for management review.

Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls and compliance.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Indian taxation laws, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance.

Prepare and analyze complex spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions.

Work extensively with Tally and other accounting software platforms.

Liaise with the Company Secretary to ensure timely compilation and filing of all required documentation and compliance reports.

Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government authorities as needed.

Key Requirements:

Male candidate with 10–15 years of relevant accounting experience.

Prior experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm, import-export organization, or a listed company.

Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance matters.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Hands-on experience with Tally ERP and other modern accounting software.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing a small to mid-size accounting team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Based in Mumbai and willing to work from the office.
