Senior Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and GST regulations. The role requires strong expertise in Tally, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to guide and mentor junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.

• Month-End and Year-End Close: Manage closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Account Reconciliation: Supervise reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Audit Support: Liaise with internal and external auditors by providing accurate financial data and documentation.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and internal control systems.

• Software Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, analytical tools).

• Accounting Software: Utilize Tally extensively, including its advanced features, for day-to-day accounting operations.

• GST Compliance: Prepare and file accurate GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) through Tally, ensuring compliance with current regulations.

• Invoice Processing: Manage the complete invoicing lifecycle in Tally, including sales orders, credit notes, and multi-currency transactions.

• Accounts Receivable Management: Track outstanding invoices, send reminders, and manage collections to ensure timely payments.

• Analytical Skills: Analyse complex financial data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Communication Skills: Coordinate effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Team Supervision: Train, guide, and mentor junior accounting staff, especially in the effective use of Tally for billing and accounting.
