Job Title: Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions. This role involves ensuring accuracy in financial records, preparing financial statements, overseeing statutory compliance, and supporting management in financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense control.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
  • Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
  • Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Support management with financial analysis, cost control, and performance reporting.
  • Liaise with banks, tax consultants, and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Minimum 1-2years of accounting experience, preferably in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting standards.
  • Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, and other Indian tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
