Job Title: Accountant – Construction Firm Location: [Guwahati, Assam] Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 3–7 Years (Preferred in Construction or Infrastructure Industry, Logistics, Trade & Commerce) Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / ICWA Inter / MBA (Finance) Job Summary :We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee our financial records and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of project accounting, taxation, and compliance within the Indian regulatory framework. Key Responsibilities : Maintain day-to-day financial records, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations. Handle accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and billing to clients. Manage project-wise cost tracking and work-in-progress (WIP) reports. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements. Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS,EPF/ESIC and Income Tax returns. Coordinate with external auditors and manage statutory audits. Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts. Handle payroll processing and employee reimbursements. Liaise with project managers and site teams for expense verification and budget compliance. Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven accounting experience in a construction, infrastructure, or real estate company. Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software. Familiarity with Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, PF, ESI). Ability to manage multiple project accounts simultaneously. Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience : working with Construction Firm, RERA, labour cess, or project finance. Knowledge of contractor billing, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and RA bills. Exposure to ERP systems like SAP, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books. Salary: ["As per industry standards"] Working Days: [Typically 6 days for construction firms] Reporting To: Director
