Learn more at www.dsu.edu.in. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Security Officer located in Bengaluru. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of university premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, permitting entry, reporting irregularities, and apprehending trespassers. The Security Officer will also be required to maintain the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and handling emergencies appropriately. Qualifications: Experience in security operations and surveillance systems Knowledge of safety management and public safety measures Ability to handle emergency situations with a calm and composed demeanor Strong observational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant certifications and a background in law enforcement or military service are a plus High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in security administration or related fields is advantageous Kannada Language proficiency is must, Hindi and English is essential. Desired Skills & Abilities: Possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated initiative Possess a working knowledge of all the duties of each post under his or her direction Possess organizational ability including scheduling and time management skills Be able to multi-task and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Be able to operate calmly and professionally during emergencies Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Be able to write and review reports regularly in all circumstances Possess familiarity with the duties of the account manager Be able to prioritize tasks, especially as they pertain to security and safety issues Possess excellent follow-up skills till the assigned task completion.
