Job Summary

We are seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Officer (ASO) to oversee the safety and security of our lead manufacturing unit in Chennai. The SO will assist in managing the security team, monitoring plant operations, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring compliance with industrial safety protocols.

Job Title: Security Officer (SO)

Shift: Day / Night Rotational Shifts (12 hours Working)
Location: Vichoor SIPCOT, Manali New Town, Chennai – 600103
Industry: Manufacturing (Lead Processing Unit)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily security operations at the plant
• Ensure protection of employees, property, raw materials (especially hazardous materials like lead), and equipment
• Monitor entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials through security gates
• Maintain incident logs, surveillance records, and access control reports
• Enforce compliance with factory safety regulations and environmental health standards
• Liaise with local law enforcement and fire departments in case of emergencies
• Train and guide security guards on SOPs, emergency response, and threat handling
• Conduct periodic drills, audits, and perimeter checks to ensure readiness
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or security breaches

Requirements

• Retired defense personnel OR minimum 5–10 years of experience in industrial security (preferably in hazardous or heavy manufacturing)
• Knowledge of factory security operations, CCTV systems, fire safety, and access control
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in shifts and handle high-pressure situations
• Physically fit and alert
• Working knowledge of Tamil, English, and Hindi

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing security for hazardous material storage (e.g., lead, chemicals)
