Description
You will be responsible for managing the Business Line team, including training, mentoring, and career development of the staff. Your role will involve recruiting top talent, advocating for safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and driving a culture of quality and continual improvement. You will lead the performance appraisal process, promote a thriving work environment, and provide senior-level input on projects. Additionally, you will ensure quality standards are followed, develop tools to increase efficiency, and solve problems with creativity and mature judgement. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the people manager for the Business Line team - Training, mentoring, and career development of business line staff - Assist in recruiting top talent and engaging and retaining staff - Advocate for safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives - Drive the culture of quality and continual improvement - Organize and lead the performance appraisal process - Promote a thriving work environment for talent recruitment and retention - Provide senior-level input and guidance on projects - Advocate for quality and ensure QMS requirements are followed - Develop tools to increase efficiency in designs and project execution - Review and approve timecards - Identify BMI staff forecasting and maintain billability - Coordinate project schedules and resourcing needs - Determine hiring needs and assist with talent identification - Monitor staff utilization to meet objectives - Identify skill set gaps and address them through training or hiring - Drive continuous improvement and efficiency - Promote work-life balance best practices - Travel to Domestic and International locations as required - Monitor budgets and schedules - Ensure completion of assigned training and projects - Improve efficiencies through innovation and automation - Perform any other assigned duties In terms of Quality/Development, you will provide technical mentorship to direct reports, review quality system data, conduct performance appraisals, and identify training needs for the department. Qualifications: - Minimum 8 years of overall experience, with 2 years of BMI experience preferred - Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Hands-on experience in leading and managing large teams - Ability to adapt to changes, make quick decisions, foster innovation, and lead effectively - Technical ability in Engineering Design and Project management - Familiarity/experience with Region Client Accounts preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Demonstrated technical ability internally and externally - Proven leadership in developing impactful visions - Ability to influence, lead, and manage change positively - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations tactfully This job posting will remain open for a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.,
