Job Title: SDN Technology Test Engineer

Location:

Expereince: 3- 8 years

About the Role:

SDN Technology Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans for SDN solutions.
  • Validate SDN architecture components (control plane, data plane, application plane).
  • Perform functional, performance, and integration testing of SDN controllers and network services.
  • Automate test cases using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Document test results and provide detailed reports.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of

    SDN architecture

    (control plane, data plane, application plane).
  • Hands-on experience with

    SDN controllers

    : OpenDaylight, ONOS, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Juniper Contrail.
  • Proficiency in

    networking protocols

    : TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE, VXLAN, OpenFlow, NETCONF/YANG.
  • Experience with

    Linux networking

    and virtual environments (VMware/KVM).

  • Scripting & automation skills

    : Python, Bash, Ansible.
  • Familiarity with

    containers

    : Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of

    network emulation/simulation tools

    : Mininet, GNS3, EVE-NG.
  • Experience with

    API testing tools

    : Postman, REST Assured.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
