Job Description

Role - Scrum Master

This role requires building team capabilities from the foundation up, transforming new team members into seasoned agile practitioners.

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years Scrum Master experience with team formation/transformation focus

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification

- Banking/financial services experience preferred

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Experience with agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro...)


Key Responsibilities:

- Establish agile framework and ceremonies for newly formed development squad - Coach team members on Scrum practices, user story creation, and estimation techniques

- Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews

- Identify and remove impediments while fostering team self-organization

- Collaborate with Product Owner on backlog refinement and prioritization

- Implement continuous improvement practices and team maturity assessments.

  3. Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
  4. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
  5. Excellent leadership skills and enjoys teaching / mentoring others 2. Agile Deliveries & Coordination
  6. Ability to work under pressure, manage client expectations effective and not get overwhelmed by client pressures on team
  7. Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  8. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  9. Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information Excellent planner who can plan 2-3 steps ahead of the team and surface hidden risks 2-3 levels deep within the team 3. Business Management
  10. Establish strong relationships with stakeholders / product owners to understand strategic, tactical and operational challenges in Business units, define technology solutions to address and arrive solutions
  11. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior client business and IT executives on transforming towards agile 4. Solution Design
  12. Enjoys and gets energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions
  13. Ability to work at an abstract level and continuously ‘pivot’ to arrive at the highest impact answer for the client.
