Job Description

Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 1 - 2 Agile teams as Scrum Master, conducting sprint ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize backlog items.
  • Remove impediments and ensure timely delivery of high-quality insurance applications (Policy, Claims, Billing, etc.).
  • Apply PLSQL skills to understand database logic, validate data, and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Monitor and track team performance using Agile tools (internal tools/JIRA/Confluence/Azure DevOps).
  • Drive Agile best practices, foster collaboration, and promote continuous improvement across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong knowledge of

    Insurance processes

    (Policy Admin, Claims, Billing, Reinsurance).
  • Proficiency in

    PLSQL

    (queries, stored procedures, debugging, and performance tuning).
  • Hands-on experience with

    Agile tools

    (JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Preferred Certifications:

    CSM / PSM / SAFe Scrum Master

    .
  • Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Good to Have

  • Experience in

    insurance product-based companies

    .
  • Knowledge of

    DevOps & CI/CD practices

    .
  • Exposure to

    Agile at Scale frameworks

    such as SAFe or LeSS.
