Senior Manual Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and execute test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.
  
• Perform thorough manual testing to validate application functionality, usability, and reliability.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools; ensure timely closure through coordination with developers.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis in collaboration with the development team and verify bug fixes.
  
• Maintain, review, and optimize test cases in line with evolving business requirements and system enhancements.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure software meets functional and domain-specific requirements.
  
• (Preferred) Provide inputs for test automation adoption and support scalability using tools such as

  Selenium

  or

  Protractor

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in

  manual testing

  , including test case creation, execution, and defect lifecycle management.
• Strong

  domain knowledge

  of insurance processes (General, Medical, Life/Health Insurance).
• Proficient in test documentation, reporting, and defect tracking.
  
• Excellent

  analytical and problem-solving skills

  with attention to detail.
• Strong

  communication and collaboration

  skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• (Added Advantage) Basic knowledge of

  automation frameworks

  and scripting.

Preferred Experience:

• 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
  
• Prior experience in the

  insurance or financial services domain

• Familiarity with tools like

  JIRA, HP ALM, or similar test management systems
